Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Pieceful mobile application ("the App", "we", "us"), developed by Ibrahim Hassan and available on Android and iOS. By downloading, installing or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. The App

Pieceful is a free, single-player picture puzzle game. It does not require an account. The App is supported by advertising (banner, interstitial and optional rewarded video ads served through Google AdMob) and, where available, offers optional in-app purchases (see section 3). The App does not offer subscriptions.

New puzzles are downloaded over the internet, so an internet connection is needed from time to time. The puzzles and pictures available, their order and their difficulty may change over time.

2. License to Use the App

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use the App on a device you own or control, for your own personal, non-commercial entertainment. You may not:

• Copy, modify, reverse-engineer or create derivative works of the App, except where applicable law allows it
• Sell, rent, lease, sublicense or otherwise distribute the App or any part of it
• Remove or alter any proprietary notices in the App
• Use the App in any way that breaks applicable local, national or international law
• Interfere with, disrupt or try to get around the App's ads, purchases or normal functioning

3. In-App Purchases

Where available, the App offers these optional purchases:

• Pieceful Pro: a one-time purchase that removes all ads and gives unlimited hints. You can restore it on a new or reinstalled device signed in to the same App Store or Google Play account using Restore Purchases in the App's Settings or Shop.
• Hint packs (for example 10 or 30 hints): consumable purchases. Bought hints are stored on your device and cannot be restored; they are lost if you uninstall the App or move to another device. Hints are used one at a time when you ask for a hint.

All purchases are billed and processed by Apple's App Store or Google Play under their own terms; we do not process payments or store payment details. Prices are shown in the App before you buy. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their refund policies.

4. Rewarded Ads

You can choose to watch a rewarded video ad to get a hint. The hint is given only when the video is watched to the end. Rewarded videos need an internet connection and are not always available.

5. Intellectual Property and Pictures

The App, including its design, graphics, sounds, code and branding, is owned by Ibrahim Hassan and is protected by copyright, trademark and other intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms transfers any ownership rights to you.

The puzzle pictures remain the property of their respective owners and are used under their licenses. Some pictures come from third-party sources, and the App shows their credit under the puzzle:

• Photos from Wikimedia Commons, found through Openverse, under CC0, public domain or Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) licenses; the photographer and license are shown (for example "Photo by Jane Doe · CC BY 4.0"). Pieces of these photos are cropped and rearranged to make the puzzle.
• Photos from Unsplash, served through Lorem Picsum under the Unsplash License; the photographer is shown.

If you believe a picture in the App infringes your rights, please contact us at the address below and we will review and, where appropriate, remove it.

6. Advertising and Third-Party Services

The App shows ads delivered by Google AdMob and uses other third-party services (usage analytics, crash reporting, remote game settings, push notifications, picture hosting and sources, and purchase processing) to run and improve the App. How these services handle data is described in our Privacy Policy. We are not responsible for the content of third-party ads or the practices of third-party services.

7. User Conduct

You agree to use the App only for its intended purpose, personal entertainment, and not to use automated means (bots, scripts or modified versions of the App) to interact with it, obtain hints or purchases without paying, or interfere with ad delivery.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free or free of harmful components.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Ibrahim Hassan shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, the App.

10. Termination

We may suspend or end your access to the App at any time, without notice, if we believe you have broken these Terms. You may stop using the App and uninstall it at any time.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Continuing to use the App after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Lebanon, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
